Santos-Dumont

In 1904, Louis Cartier fulfilled the wish of Alberto Santos Dumont, a renowned Brazilian aviator, to have a watch that could be used while flying. This marked the beginning of a strong friendship between these two pioneers and the creation of the first wristwatch. With its curved dial, horn-shaped edges, and visible screws, this watch has become an iconic inspiration for numerous reinterpretations.
